Position Overview: A role at National Bank as a Senior Credit Risk Analyst within the Risk Management division for the Financial Markets and International sector entails serving as a credit authority across various business ventures while possessing in-depth knowledge of a diverse range of counterparties.

Impactful Contributions: This position enables you to positively influence our organization through your financial analysis capabilities, programming proficiency, and understanding of economic principles and accounting regulations.

Portfolio Management: Oversee a varied portfolio of counterparties, including investment funds, pension funds, hedge funds, central clearing parties (CCPs), and insurance firms globally.

Risk Assessment: Evaluate credit risk for assigned counterparties, gather pertinent information for thorough analysis and assessment, and refine existing analytical models.

Research and Reporting: Conduct research and disseminate internal memos on various relevant topics that affect the Bank directly or indirectly by monitoring macroeconomic developments and analyzing their implications on our portfolio.

Collaboration: Work closely with business units within the Bank to understand their requirements and proactively manage risks associated with various business initiatives.

Analytical Excellence: Execute complex and diverse analyses, and perform extensive assessments to provide valuable insights for informed decision-making.

Project Participation: Engage in and lead special projects that influence the enhancement of practices, policies, or products, as well as the optimization of operational efficiency and information quality to mitigate loss risks and boost the Bank's profitability.

Reporting and Visualization: Generate detailed reports utilizing multiple data sources to support risk management decisions and present data in a clear, actionable format for senior management and stakeholders.

Technical Proficiency: Employ tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight, Excel VBA, and Python for data preparation, analysis, and visualization, while leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

Team Dynamics: Within the Financial Markets and International sector of the risk management department, you will collaborate with a specialized team of seven senior analysts and report to the Senior Director of Financial Markets and International - Credit Risk Management.

Expertise and Training: Our team is distinguished by its extensive coverage of non-banking financial institutions and specialization in managing counterparties such as investment funds, pension funds, CCPs, insurance companies, and structured products. Our learning-in-action training programs are designed to help you master your skills, with customized training content available to support your ongoing development.

Qualifications: A university degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience is required. Professional certifications such as CFA/CPA/FRM are advantageous. Experience in credit risk analysis, particularly with non-bank financial institutions, is essential. Proficiency in Bloomberg and data analysis and visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Quicksight, Excel VBA, Python) is expected. Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication and report-writing skills are crucial. A solid foundation in financial concepts, derivatives, and securities finance is also necessary.
