Data & Analytics Manager – Governance & Privacy

In the role of Data & Analytics Manager with a focus on governance and privacy, you will oversee various data disciplines with a strong emphasis on data governance and privacy practices. Your leadership will be pivotal in crafting and implementing strategies that prioritize the management, safeguarding, and ethical utilization of data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly and indirectly lead and mentor a diverse team that may include leaders, analysts, and engineers.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology.
  • Collaborate closely with the legal team to navigate Canadian and international data protection regulations.
  • Facilitate data governance meetings and provide training to staff on best practices for data management.
  • Act as a liaison between various technology and business stakeholders to support data analytics and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, analytics, data architecture, or business intelligence, with a proven leadership background.
  • Experience in formulating and implementing data strategies and analytics solutions within a large-scale business context.
  • Strong comprehension of Canadian data protection laws and demonstrated success in implementing data compliance measures within an enterprise setting.
  • Proven expertise in data governance, data quality management, or a related field.

Compensation:

The annualized base pay range for this position is $140,000 to $150,000, with a bonus component in addition to the base salary. Starting pay will be determined based on skills and experience, with opportunities for growth as you advance your career with us.
