Data & Analytics Manager – Governance & Privacy

In the role of Data & Analytics Manager with a focus on governance and privacy, you will guide various data disciplines with a strong emphasis on data governance and privacy. Your leadership will be crucial in formulating and implementing strategies that prioritize the management, safeguarding, and ethical utilization of data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directly and indirectly lead and mentor a diverse team that may include leaders, analysts, and engineers.
  • Oversee the development and execution of data governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance strategies, emphasizing business outcomes and technological alignment.
  • Collaborate closely with the legal team to navigate Canadian and international data protection regulations, including Law 25, PIPEDA, and CASL.
  • Facilitate data governance meetings and provide training to staff on best practices for data handling.
  • Act as a liaison between various technology and business stakeholders to support data analytics and strategy formulation.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, data analytics, data architecture, or business intelligence, with a proven track record in a leadership capacity.
  • Experience in crafting and implementing data strategies and analytics solutions within a large-scale business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian data protection laws and demonstrated implementation of data compliance measures in an enterprise setting.
  • Proven expertise in data governance, data quality management, or a related role.

Annualized Base Pay Range: $140,000 - $150,000, with a bonus component in addition to the base salary.
