Position Overview

The Home Care Aide plays a vital role in providing essential support to clients in their residences. This position focuses on delivering personalized care and assistance to enhance the quality of life for individuals in need.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree required.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role.
Work Environment

This role is primarily conducted in the client’s home, requiring flexibility and adaptability to various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care.
  • Manage medication schedules and administration.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Support clients during meals, including feeding assistance.
  • Launder clothing and household linens.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environment.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Shop for groceries and household necessities.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to client needs.
Required Certifications
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
Safety and Security
  • Criminal record check is mandatory.
  • References are required.
  • Driver's license validity check is necessary.
Transportation Requirements
  • Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel.
