Position Overview

The Home Care Aide plays a vital role in providing essential support to clients in their own residences. This position is ideal for individuals who are compassionate and dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for those in need.

Qualifications
  • Education: No formal degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role.
Work Environment

As a Home Care Aide, you will work primarily in the homes of clients, providing personalized care tailored to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Manage and administer medications as prescribed.
  • Assist clients with bathing and personal hygiene tasks.
  • Support clients during meal times, including feeding assistance.
  • Launder clothing and household linens as needed.
  • Mend clothing and linens to ensure client comfort.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean environment.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
  • Shop for food and household supplies as required.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to promote health and well-being.
Certifications Required
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Personal Support Worker Certificate
Safety and Security
  • Criminal record check is mandatory.
  • References will be required.
  • Driver's license validity check will be conducted.
Transportation Requirements
  • Must have own transportation and a valid driver's license.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed.
