Position Overview

As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate support to residents at Chartwell Villa Saguenay. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our residents.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Relevant experience in a healthcare setting is an asset.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with meal service and support residents during dining.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of necessary supplies.
  • Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Respond to resident calls to assess their needs.
  • Deliver first aid in emergency situations as required.
Certifications and Training
  • Completion of Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP) training.
  • Current CPR certification.
Safety and Security
  • Successful completion of a criminal record check.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced and dynamic work setting.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage repetitive tasks.
  • Physically demanding role requiring manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
