Job Title: Line Cook

Pelican Events & Catering is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively
  • Dependability, judgement, and reliability
Working Conditions:
  • Physically demanding role requiring standing for extended periods
  • Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
