Tax Specialist Job Description

Fernandez Young LLP is seeking a highly skilled Tax Specialist to join our team. As a Tax Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our clients' financial records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and Administer Accounting Systems: Design and implement accounting systems to ensure efficient financial management.
  • Analyze Financial Records: Conduct thorough analysis of clients' financial records to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure Accuracy and Compliance: Verify the accuracy of financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures.
  • Prepare Financial Information: Prepare financial information for individuals, departments, or companies, including financial statements and reports.
  • Recommend Improvements: Identify opportunities for improvement in accounting systems and management practices.
  • Prepare Tax Returns: Prepare income tax returns from accounting records.
  • Analyze Financial Documents: Examine financial documents and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Keep Financial Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Oversee Payroll Administration: Ensure accurate and timely payroll administration.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

  • Permanent position.
  • English language required.
  • 35 to 40 hours per week.
