Emergency Department Nurse

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Emergency Department Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing the needs of adult and pediatric patients, providing treatment, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Provide high-quality patient care, including triage and in-charge responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure timely referrals and admissions
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
- Meet the physical demands of the position and maintain a satisfactory employment and attendance record
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current Heart & Stroke Approved BLS Provider Card
- Previous Emergency Department experience required
- Experience in triage and in-charge responsibilities required
- ACLS certificate required at time of hire and ongoing
- Completion of an on-site sponsored course within one year of hire date
- Successful completion of Canadian Emergency Nursing Certification Exam would be an asset
- Basic ECG interpretation and 12 lead ECG application and interpretation preferred
Monday to Sunday, various rotating shifts, 12 hour shifts, and hours subject to change based on operational requirements.
Compensation$ to $ per hour.
