About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Counselor to join our team at Nisa Foundation in Hamilton. As a Counselor, you will work with individuals who have difficulty expressing their needs, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management, assessment, and intervention services to clients
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support clients' needs
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify clients' strengths and challenges
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, families, and community partners
Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in a related human/social service field, such as Social Work or Child and Youth Care Work
  • One year of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant training, education, and experience
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
