Position Overview

As a key member of Dynacare, the Manager of Laboratory Health Services is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple Laboratory and Health Services Centers. This role is crucial in ensuring that our strategic objectives are met while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation of Laboratory and Health Services Centers within the region to enhance customer experience through exceptional service delivery.
  • Cultivate a workplace culture that emphasizes strong employee relations and teamwork, adhering to established human resources policies.
  • Promote open communication and trust with team members, addressing feedback and ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
  • Collaborate with senior management for guidance to maintain a positive experience for clients and employees.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team through strategic recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by providing timely and professional assistance, educating clients on processes, and addressing concerns effectively.
  • Analyze workflows and recommend improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular reviews of performance metrics to ensure compliance with key indicators and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aligned with regional and corporate strategies.
  • Manage regional budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending enhancements.
  • Prepare operational reports utilizing metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements through ongoing education.
  • Support business development efforts in establishing new client relationships.
  • Oversee maintenance and renovation projects for regional locations in collaboration with support services management.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in customer care within a high-volume, time-sensitive environment.
  • Champion a safe and healthy workplace by implementing health and safety programs and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Healthcare, Science, or Business with a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with 3-5 years of relevant background.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Lean Six Sigma and/or Change Management training is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experienced in developing talent and building high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with all levels of management.
  • A proactive team player with the ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering results.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations and customer care best practices.
