Sales Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive asset management goals of turn and aging while safeguarding company assets, including new and used whole goods inventory
  • Ensure the right inventory mix to meet sales and market share targets
  • Lead and develop the Sales Department team to create a motivated workforce dedicated to long-term success
  • Meet market share objectives for the manufacturer and the company's sustained success
  • Provide insights on future opportunities and competitive challenges
  • Support branch account receivables management in coordination with the Director of Credit Services and VPO of Operations
  • Complete any additional assigned tasks

Required Skills

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers
  • Make sound decisions related to financial transactions, sales strategies, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Utilize high-level critical thinking, analysis, and logical reasoning
  • Be willing to travel when necessary; provide a recent driver's abstract

Required Experience

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Hold over 7 years of experience in sales management
  • Have a background in the heavy equipment industry, which is highly desirable
  • Forge and maintain strong relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and customers
  • Exhibit strong decision-making skills encompassing financial transactions, sales strategies, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Display advanced critical thinking, analysis, and reasoning abilities
  • Be available for travel as required; present a recent driver's abstract
