Mental Health Professional

**Job Summary**
McLean Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Tech to join our team. As a Mental Health Tech, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and participating in therapeutic milieu on our Adult Inpatient unit.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries and promoting a safe and supportive environment.
- Identify patient behaviors that contribute to the development of a crisis and utilize non-verbal and verbal techniques to de-escalate crisis situations.
- Participate in planning and implementation of patient groups and activities.
- Assist patients with their activities of daily living and provide support with medication management.
**Requirements**
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Verbal and written communication skills and ability to work in collaboration with others.
- No experience required; one year patient care or related experience preferred, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Basic computer skills required to use electronic or online systems for communication, clinical, and administrative purposes.
