Job Title: YMAP Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced YMAP Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Calgary. As a YMAP Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality programs and services to our youth participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver after-school sessions in-person and online to high school and post-secondary students, with a focus on developing life skills and promoting positive relationships.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our youth participants, including topics such as self-esteem, healthy relationships, and cultural awareness.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of YMAP Coordinators to deliver summer programming and special events for youth.
  • Recruit participants through in-school presentations and one-on-one interviews, and provide drop-in and referrals as needed.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports, attendance, and program impact stories, and support program evaluation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with schools and community organizations, and serve as an ambassador for YMCA programs in the community.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in Social Sciences, Human Services, Education, Social Work, or Humanities.
  • Experience working with newcomer youth and leading groups on topics such as leadership, philanthropy, and job-searching skills.
  • Strong team-work skills, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
  • Administrative experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
