Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Coordinator to join our team at YMCA Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality programs and services to youth, with a focus on leadership, philanthropy, and job-searching skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement program curriculum and lesson plans to meet the needs of youth participants
  • Deliver program sessions in-person and online, with a focus on building positive relationships with youth
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure a cohesive and effective program delivery
  • Recruit and engage youth participants through in-school presentations and one-on-one interviews
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports, attendance, and program impact stories
  • Support program evaluation and continuous improvement
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Social Sciences, Human Services, Education, Social Work, or Humanities
  • Experience working with newcomer youth and leading groups on topics such as leadership, philanthropy, and job-searching skills
  • Strong team-work skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Administrative experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Reliable transportation and current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification
  • Evidence of a clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
