Your Opportunity:

The Accounts Payable division at Alberta Health Services manages a substantial volume of financial transactions. As a vital member of this team, you will be responsible for efficient invoice processing and delivering professional customer service. An Accounts Payable Administrative Support IV clerk is tasked with processing a range of vendor invoice transactions through both automated systems and manual methods, while also addressing inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders, via various communication channels. The role involves utilizing the Oracle ERP system, MarkView for invoice workflows, and Kofax Validation document imaging software. You will handle both Purchase Order (PO) and Non-PO based transactions. Additionally, this position requires resolving issues related to vendor invoices, reviewing vendor statements, and making necessary credit/debit note adjustments. Other responsibilities may include compliance verification, providing coverage for mailroom duties, and performing scanning tasks, which may involve lifting files or boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. This role reports directly to a Supervisor of Accounts Payable. It is important to note that this position offers flexibility for remote or on-site work; however, the initial training phase will be conducted on-site, with the timing of any transition to remote work determined by the supervisor.

Position Overview:

As an Administrative Support IV, you will need advanced administrative capabilities and specialized knowledge to assist with intricate procedures, practices, and initiatives within the department.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of some post-secondary education is necessary.

Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Oracle financial systems or comparable accounts payable/financial systems (such as SAP, JD Edwards, or Great Plains) is preferred. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat editing software and intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel are also advantageous.
