About Our Team

The SAP AI Product Engineering Team is a vital component of the SAP Business AI division, driving the Intelligent Enterprise initiative. Our goal is to integrate Artificial Intelligence capabilities into all enterprise applications, enabling our clients to leverage their business data effectively. We oversee foundational products such as the SAP Generative AI Hub, AI Core, and AI Launchpad, which assist application developers in incorporating AI functionalities into their solutions. Our teams operate across various locations, embodying an innovative and entrepreneurial work culture.

Your Role

As an AI Core Developer, you will have the exceptional chance to become part of the SAP Artificial Intelligence product engineering team within SAP's AI division. In a vibrant and engaging environment reminiscent of a start-up, you will have ample opportunities to learn and engage with emerging technologies, addressing real-world challenges at the intersection of Cloud, DevOps, and Artificial Intelligence. You will collaborate with experienced software engineers, architects, DevOps professionals, and AI experts to delve into advanced topics within the cloud AI landscape.

Your Responsibilities

  • Investigate, comprehend, and apply the latest technologies and methodologies for the SAP Generative AI Hub.
  • Collaborate within a diverse team, utilizing agile development practices.
  • Strive for excellence in both result quality and system scalability through ongoing evaluation, analysis, and enhancement of system implementations.
  • Conduct quality assurance tasks and resolve complex integration challenges.
  • Work effectively in global teams across various time zones.
  • Quickly adapt to new topics, terminology, and development assignments.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 7 years of professional experience in Software Engineering with a focus on AI and Cloud Platforms.
  • A robust foundation in computer science, with strong skills in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded programming, and software design principles.
  • Proficient in cloud-native development.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including version control (e.g., git), CI/CD testing, security, and documentation.
  • Experience in cloud-based application development using platforms such as SAP's business technology platform, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • A collaborative team player who is enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about coding.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of Generative AI concepts, Foundation models, and LLMs, along with knowledge of LLM applications for software development.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Skills in system design for scalable, high-performance, and resilient AI-driven systems.
