Robotics Engineer

The Reserve Engineer (RE) is a critical member of our team at Cobalt AI, responsible for providing top-notch customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our robotic systems.
Key Responsibilities- Robot Hardware Expertise: Develop in-depth knowledge of our robot hardware and be comfortable servicing and maintaining our machines through comprehensive training.
- Technical Communication: Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical team members regarding field repairs and projects, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
- Field Operations Support: Occasionally assist with field operation projects and new robot deployments, providing critical support to our clients and internal teams.
- Hardware Failure Resolution: Be dispatched to client sites within your area to resolve hardware failures, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Task Delegation and Reporting: Report to a Regional Project Manager for tasking and delegation, ensuring clear communication and accountability.
- Robotics and AI Enthusiasm: Demonstrate a genuine interest in robotics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, with a willingness to learn and grow with our company.
- Hardware Assembly and Disassembly: Possess experience with hardware assembly and disassembly, with a basic understanding of tool kits and hand tools.
- Computer Hardware and Electrical Components: Familiarity with computer hardware and small electrical components, with a willingness to receive proprietary training.
- Flexibility and Availability: Be open to support jobs that may occur after hours (5pm-9am) and on weekends, with a flexible schedule to accommodate client needs.
- Experience and Skills: Possess experience with computer hardware and electrical components, as well as experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
