Job Title: Marine Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Surveyor to join our team at Control Union Canada Inc.

Job Summary:

The Marine Surveyor will be responsible for conducting inspections and evaluations of vessels to ensure compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of vessels to identify defects and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Prepare draft investigative reports of findings and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Inspect and evaluate material and equipment for compliance to standards.
  • Write technical reports and provide detailed documentation of inspections and findings.
  • Sample products, perform tests, and record data as required.
  • Receive, analyze, and verify copy for accuracy.
  • Inspect vessels to identify defects and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 5 years or more in a related field.
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors and in various locations, including rural areas. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are essential for this role.
