Job Title: Marine Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Surveyor to join our team at Control Union Canada Inc.

Job Summary:

The Marine Surveyor will be responsible for conducting inspections and evaluations of vessels to ensure compliance with industry standards. The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and evaluations of vessels to identify defects and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Prepare draft investigative reports of findings and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Inspect and evaluate material and equipment for compliance to standards
  • Write technical reports and provide detailed documentation of inspections and findings
  • Sample products, perform tests and record data to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Receive, analyze and verify copy for accuracy and completeness
  • Inspect vessels to identify defects and provide recommendations for repair or replacement
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 5 years or more
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Willing to travel and work in various locations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
  • Hand-eye co-ordination and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:

The Marine Surveyor will work in a variety of locations, including rural areas and on the road. The successful candidate will be required to travel frequently and work in a fast-paced environment.
