Financial Reconciliation Specialist

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is seeking a dedicated Accounting Technician (Reconciliations) to join our Retail Accounting team on a permanent basis. This role offers a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Execute general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations within established timelines.
  2. Generate journal entries and prepare year-end working paper documentation.
  3. Communicate with local Co-ops regarding reconciliation processes.
  4. Maintain departmental records and perform bank account reconciliations.
  5. Undertake additional tasks as necessary.
Collaboration:

You will collaborate closely with fellow Accounting Technicians specializing in reconciliations and be part of a broader accounting team. Reporting to the Supervisor of Business Accounting, you will engage with professionals throughout the Co-operative Retailing System. This team encourages independence in resolving issues and working directly with clients to rectify accounting discrepancies.

  1. Possess a high school diploma along with one introductory accounting course from an accredited post-secondary institution. Candidates with a high school diploma and one year of relevant accounting experience will also be considered.
