Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is seeking an Accounting Technician specializing in reconciliations for our Retail Accounting division. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations within established timelines.
  2. Prepare journal entries and year-end working paper documentation.
  3. Communicate with local Co-ops regarding reconciliation processes.
  4. Maintain departmental records and perform bank account reconciliations.
  5. Execute additional tasks as required.
Collaboration:

You will collaborate closely with fellow Accounting Technicians focused on reconciliations and be part of a broader accounting team. Reporting to the Supervisor of Business Accounting, you will engage with professionals throughout the Co-operative Retailing System. This team encourages independent problem-solving and direct interaction with clients to resolve accounting discrepancies.

Your work contributes to the growth and success of local Co-ops by providing essential professional services, including marketing, market analysis, IT support, human resources, accounting, risk management, and business development.

Candidate Profile:

  1. Possess a high school diploma along with one introductory accounting course from an accredited post-secondary institution. Candidates with a high school diploma and one year of relevant accounting experience will also be considered.
