Job Title: Assistant Controller

Company Overview

Canstar Restorations LP is a leading provider of property restoration services in western Canada. With a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team.

ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting

Assist in the preparation and review of financial reports, including monthly and annual statements.

Prepare variance analysis and provide commentary on financial results.

Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal filing requirements.

Forecast and Budget Reporting

Prepare and analyze monthly department-level expense reports.

Support strategic budgeting and forecasting activities.

General Accounting

Assist with month-end full-cycle accounting duties.

Prepare and review reconciliation schedules and investigate variances.

Health and Safety

Ensure adherence to health and safety practices and procedures.

Understand safety policies and protocols.

Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with expertise in account reconciliations and a strong understanding of GAAP accounting regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a professional manner and be able to interact with employers and vendors daily.

Experience in a fast-paced environment is essential.
