Job Summary

Ainsworth is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager - Automation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for developing the technical skills of your team and implementing processes and solutions to ensure exceptional service delivery and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in project kick-off meetings with the project manager and sales team to gather all necessary information for project engineering.
  • Develop and optimize engineering standards and processes, programming, graphics, commissioning, and installation.
  • Maintain excellent relationships with suppliers of regulation equipment and services to establish standard components to be used in projects.
  • Plan team work under your responsibility, ensuring that quality criteria, deadlines, and budgets are met.
  • Participate in the hiring, promotion, and evaluation of employees.
  • Evaluate team member skills and develop/implement technical training plans tailored to individual roles and career aspirations.
  • Provide technical support to regulation technicians and electricians.
  • Work with the project manager to ensure timely issuance of project documents required by specifications or contracts.
  • Maintain knowledge of all Schneider Electric materials, software, tools, and applications.
  • Analyze and advise property owners and contractors on the appropriate control strategy and available options.
  • Participate actively in team and engineering meetings, be open to free exchange of ideas and concepts, and contribute constructive comments to the management team.
  • Work in an interfunctional environment to improve processes and methods to improve the company's ability to meet its mission statement.
  • Establish and maintain a positive team relationship with colleagues and share experience and positive comments with colleagues while accepting those of others.
  • Promote a workplace health and safety culture among all employees, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Any other related tasks.

Requirements

  • Diploma in building mechanics or electrical engineering, or any other related field.
  • 10 years of experience with digital regulation systems.
  • Excellent mastery of French, spoken and written. Functional English level required, both written and spoken.
  • Computer skills with the Office software suite and a VPN work environment.
  • Computer skills with programming, technical drawing, and building operation software.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professionalism, discretion, and autonomy in a large team context.
  • Organized, methodical, rigorous, and detail-oriented person.
