As a Sales Development Representative with Western Coast Insurance Services, you will play a key role in driving new business and revenue growth. You will leverage our internal database to contact and qualify potential clients, quote and bind policies, and build external pipelines to bring new clients to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize internal database to pipeline leads and drive new business
  • Contact leads for sales qualifying calls before passing qualified leads on to the next stage of the sales process
  • Collect client information to ensure their eligibility for various programs and document carefully to ensure a smooth transition to the Sales Representatives
  • Contribute to overall strategy by providing status updates to leadership regarding wins/challenges and opportunities for growth
  • Navigate multiple insurance partner online portals to complete customer applications
  • Meet and exceed sales and retention targets
  • Collaborate with insurance company Underwriters to ensure evolving guidelines are met.
  • Liaise between client and external insurance partners to ensure fair and proper representation for both parties
  • Continuous self-development, through industry and community involvement, and industry related courses

Requirements

  • Sales experience is an asset
  • Strong customer service experience, preferably over the phone
  • You demonstrate exemplary communication skills by easily breaking the ice with new clients and effectively gathering and sharing information
  • Excellent note taking and clear documentation
  • A passion to help people protect what is most valuable to them
  • A self-motivated and entrepreneurial mindset with unlimited earning potential through a mix of fixed and variable compensation
  • You are a results-driven Sales Representative with excellent interpersonal skills to actively seek out and engage customers
  • The ability to communicate professionally in person, over the phone, and through email
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in the face of adversity
