Scrum Master -IFRS17 Job Overview

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master -IFRS17 to lead our team in delivering high-performing projects. As a Scrum Master -IFRS17, you will be responsible for providing support with project delivery, utilizing a deep understanding of agile principles and team dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all phases of large or several medium, high-risk IT projects while leveraging best practice standards and processes.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure project delivery expectations are specified and successfully met.
  • Monitor Scrum processes and support Product Owner on release planning and backlog management.
  • Strengthen the team's understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and ensure application of these practices.
  • Ensure the team's actions are aligned with the project goals and vision.
  • Bring transparency to Business, IT, and Operations about the team's progress and Agile processes.
  • Foster a continuous learning environment, helping teams adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage detailed work plans, project schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
  • Define and manage project risks and issues ensuring appropriate strategies and plans are in place to mitigate or handle effectively.
  • Ensure effective and timely communication occurs within the project team and between the project team and stakeholders.
  • Actively drive and present product plans and reviews, demos, and competitive analyses with the team, partners, and executive leadership.
Requirements:
  • Domain Expertise: 5 to 10 years of progressive experience as a Scrum Master/Project Manager.
  • Experience in Finance.
  • Foundational knowledge of cloud: AWS and Azure.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience with implementing medium to large-range technology/business projects; ie, finance and treasury.
  • Agile certification: Scrum Master, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Certified Project Management professional designation (PMP).
  • Experience managing projects, which involve 3rd party managed services.
  • Experience in leading offshoring and global projects.
  • Ability to straddle between Agile and Waterfall Methodologies.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Office suite, Collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, and SharePoint.
  • Background experience in Delivery.

  • Ability to emphasize on relationship management and team building.
  • Effectively and concisely communicate project and technical information to provide comprehensive and concise recommendations to management.
  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to manage difficult situations to resolution.
  • Strong facilitation skills to conduct successful meetings and ceremonies.
  • Ability to create project plans for complex projects with many interrelated paths.
  • Action-oriented, self-motivated, and solutions-driven.
