About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Manulife as a Scrum Master, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our squads. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for driving Agile ceremonies, representing the squad during PI planning, and ensuring iterative improvement in quality and speed of delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Scrum teams to implement Agile principles and practices.
  • Drive and implement all Agile ceremonies, including PI planning.
  • Work with software development teams to lead Scrum activities.
  • Own the PI planning process and corresponding activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements and supervise deliveries.
  • Ensure progress against important landmarks and coordinate implementation.
  • Provide status reporting and have a positive impact on organizational entities.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
  • Agile (SAFE) and Jira experience.
  • PI planning experience for priorities, objectives, and plan work for Program Increment.
  • Release Management experience.
  • Prior experience in Software Development or Quality Assurance.
  • Demonstrated understanding of technology and participation in discussions associated with Manulife's products.
  • Strong detail orientation and awareness of full-technology stack.
  • Strong understanding of interconnections between business priorities.
  • Reflects on and improves behavior.
  • Demonstrates all core skills and interpersonal skills beyond requirements for the role.
