Job Description

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master -IFRS17 to join our team. As a Scrum Master -IFRS17, you will play a crucial role in helping our teams deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Manage all phases of large or several medium, high-risk IT projects while leveraging best practice standards and processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure project delivery expectations are specified and successfully met.
  • Scrum Process Management: Monitor Scrum processes and support Product Owner on release planning and backlog management.
  • Team Enablement: Strengthen the team's understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and ensure application of these practices.
  • Project Goals Alignment: Ensure the team's actions are aligned with the project goals and vision.
  • Progress Reporting: Bring transparency to Business, IT, and Operations about the team's progress and Agile processes.
  • Continuous Learning: Foster a continuous learning environment, helping teams adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Project Planning: Proven ability to develop and manage detailed work plans, project schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
  • Risk Management: Define and manage project risks and issues ensuring appropriate strategies and plans are in place to mitigate or handle effectively.
  • Communication: Ensure effective and timely communication occurs within the project team and between the project team and stakeholders.
  • Product Planning: Actively drive and present product plans and reviews, demos, and competitive analyses with the team, partners, and executive leadership.
  • Program Management: Work with larger program teams in building external communication and action plans using JIRA, Confluence, and other tools.
Requirements
  • Domain Expertise: 5 to 10 years of progressive experience as a Scrum Master/Project Manager.
  • Finance Experience: Experience in Finance.
  • Cloud Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of cloud: AWS and Azure.
  • Project Experience: 5 to 7 years of experience with implementing medium to large-range technology/business projects; ie, finance and treasury.
  • Agile Certification: Agile certification: Scrum Master, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Project Management Certification: Certified Project Management professional designation (PMP).
  • Managed Services Experience: Experience managing projects, which involve 3rd party managed services.
  • Offshoring Experience: Experience in leading offshoring and global projects.
  • Methodology Knowledge: Ability to straddle between Agile and Waterfall Methodologies.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Office suite, Collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, and SharePoint.
  • Delivery Experience: Background experience in Delivery.
Preferred Skills
  • Relationship Management: Ability to emphasize on relationship management and team building.
  • Communication Skills: Effectively and concisely communicate project and technical information to provide comprehensive and concise recommendations to management.
  • Influencing Skills: Strong influencing skills and the ability to manage difficult situations to resolution.
  • Facilitation Skills: Strong facilitation skills to conduct successful meetings and ceremonies.
  • Project Planning: Ability to create project plans for complex projects with many interrelated paths.
  • Results-Oriented: Action-oriented, self-motivated, and solutions-driven.
