Position Overview

As an Agile Project Leader, you will be instrumental in fostering high-performing teams by guiding project execution, drawing on your extensive knowledge of agile methodologies and team dynamics. You will also be expected to navigate traditional project management practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stages of large-scale or multiple medium-risk IT initiatives while adhering to best practice standards and methodologies.
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure clarity in project delivery expectations.
  • Supervise Scrum processes and assist the Product Owner with release planning and backlog prioritization.
  • Enhance the team's comprehension of Agile/Scrum principles and ensure their effective application.
  • Align team activities with project objectives and overall vision.
  • Provide transparency to Business, IT, and Operations regarding the team's progress and Agile practices.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning, helping teams adapt to evolving conditions.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in developing and managing detailed work plans, project timelines, estimates, and resource allocations.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, ensuring effective strategies are in place for mitigation.
  • Facilitate timely and effective communication within the project team and with stakeholders.
  • Lead and present product strategies, reviews, demonstrations, and competitive assessments with the team and executive leadership.
  • Collaborate with larger program teams to create external communication and action plans utilizing tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and others.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of progressive experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager.
  • Experience in the financial sector.
  • Fundamental knowledge of cloud technologies, including AWS and Azure.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in implementing medium to large-scale technology and business projects.
  • Agile certifications such as Scrum Master, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience managing projects involving third-party services.
  • Experience leading offshore and global projects.
  • Ability to navigate between Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Project, Office Suite, and collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, Miro, and SharePoint.
  • Background in Delivery.

  • Strong emphasis on relationship management and team development.
  • Ability to communicate project and technical information effectively and succinctly.
  • Excellent influencing skills and the capability to resolve challenging situations.
  • Strong facilitation skills for conducting successful meetings and ceremonies.
  • Ability to create comprehensive project plans for complex initiatives with multiple interdependencies.
  • Action-oriented, self-motivated, and solution-focused.
