About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team at 4548881 Nova Scotia Limited. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Pre-Operational Inspection: Perform pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Mixing and Spreading Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Assisting with Drilling and Blasting: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites.
  • Assisting with Framing and Erection: Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Removing Debris: Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
Work Environment

As a Construction Labourer and Helper, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. You will be required to work outdoors, at heights, and in confined spaces. You will also be exposed to noisy, dusty, cold, and hot conditions.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
