About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Professional to join our team at Salt N' Pepper Western and Asian Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Cooking: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Inventory and Record-Keeping: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and ensure that all kitchen operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant or rural area.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
Working Conditions
  • Language: English.
  • Hours of Work: 30 to 40 hours per week.
