Rehabilitation Support Specialist Position
  • Qualifications: Completion of a Registered Apprenticeship program
  • Experience: Between 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role, or equivalent experience
  • Work Environment: Healthcare facility
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Evaluate patients' physical capabilities
    • Support healthcare professionals in treatment delivery
    • Implement rehabilitation programs as directed by physiotherapists or occupational therapists for patients with diverse injuries or disabilities
    • Conduct assessment tests and procedures
    • Maintain and sanitize therapeutic equipment
    • Design physiotherapy programs tailored to patient needs
    • Select suitable exercises, tools, and techniques
    • Engage in physiotherapy research initiatives
    • Record and track patient rehabilitation outcomes
    • Perform administrative tasks as required
  • Required Certifications:
    • Passage of the Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulatory Boards Examination
    • Licensure from relevant provincial or territorial authorities
  • Specialization Area: Physiotherapy
  • Physical and Work Conditions:
    • Good hand-eye coordination
    • Ability to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking
    • Strong attention to detail
