Position Overview

As a Receptionist at GENERAL FREIGHT, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within our office environment. Your primary responsibilities will include managing communications and providing exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming Visitors: Greet clients and direct them to the appropriate contacts or service areas.
  • Information Provision: Offer basic information to clients and the public regarding our services.
  • Customer Service: Gather and process information necessary for effective customer service.
  • Communication Management: Operate the switchboard or telephone system efficiently.
  • Office Supplies: Manage orders for office supplies to ensure availability.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate work records and logs.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Schedule and confirm appointments as needed.
  • Invoicing: Prepare and send invoices to clients.
  • Payment Processing: Receive and issue payments accurately.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, including filing, sorting, and distributing mail.
  • Telecommunication: Answer telephone calls and relay messages promptly.
  • Teleconferencing: Arrange teleconferences as required.
  • Bookkeeping: Execute basic bookkeeping tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a similar role.
