About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tile Installer to join our team at J.Y Tiling LTD. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tile installations are completed to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Installation Preparation
    • Measure and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles
    • Prepare and apply adhesives and other materials as required
  • Tile Installation
    • Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
    • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish
    • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Finishing Touches
    • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
    • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
    • Supervise other workers and ensure that all installations are completed to the highest standards
  • Specialized Tasks
    • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs
    • Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite
    • Estimate costs and materials for tile installations
    Requirements
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in tile installation
    • Permanent employment
    • English as the primary language of work
    • 30 to 40 hours of work per week
