About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at J.Y Tiling LTD. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tile installations are completed to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Mortar and Adhesive Application: Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowels, ensuring a smooth and even surface.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a secure and level fit.
  • Tile Alignment and Cutting: Align and straighten tiles, and cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools.
  • Grouting and Cleaning: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, ensuring a clean and professional finish.
  • Tile Repair and Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, and supervise other workers to ensure that all installations are completed to the highest standard.
  • Design and Estimation: Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs, and estimate costs and materials for tile installations.
  • Specialized Tasks: Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite, and mix, lay and polish terra surfaces.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in tile installation.
  • Permanent employment with a regular working week of 30 to 40 hours.
  • Fluent in English as the primary language of communication.
