About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Installer to join our team at J.Y Tiling LTD. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all tile installations meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered with tile, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Adhesive Application: Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowels, ensuring a smooth and even surface.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a secure and level fit.
  • Tile Cutting and Fitting: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, ensuring a seamless and professional finish.
  • Grouting and Cleaning: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout, ensuring a clean and tidy finish.
  • Tile Repair and Replacement: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise other workers and instruct apprentices, ensuring that all team members are trained and equipped to meet the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in tile installation.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
