Job Summary:

The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for maintaining, updating, and verifying accurate and complete electronic records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and 'Apply to Education' in order to provide services (i.e. accurate pay, occasional lists, electronic resources) to employees within all pay groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter, verify, and update data into the Human Resources Information System, PeopleSoft, and other data resources
  • Answer telephone inquiries, respond to emails, and provide information
  • Prepare employee communications
  • Administrative assistance (i.e. photocopying, meetings)
  • Audit reports

Requirements:

  • Education & Experience: Formal Education and/or Certification(s) Minimum: 2 to 3 years of specialized community college
  • Years of Experience Minimum: 1 to 2 years
  • SKILLS REQUIRED: Knowledge of Administrative processes and procedures Human Resources Field Competencies Ability to operate a computer in order to perform administrative tasks, use of Excel to create lists, analyze data, enter data, and operate HRIS and PeopleSoft Ability to communicate straight-forward information Well-developed interpersonal skills Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
