Clinical Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Manager to join our team at The Royal Mental Health Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical management presence on evenings, nights, and weekends, and will serve as the point of contact after hours for interdisciplinary teams, other departments, and external stakeholders related to overall patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and management presence on evenings, nights, and weekends to ensure seamless patient care.
- Serve as the primary point of contact after hours for interdisciplinary teams, other departments, and external stakeholders.
- Manage emergencies off hours and deploy staff as needed to ensure patient safety.
- Monitor assignments and intervene, reassign, or take over patient care in extraordinary circumstances.
- Participate in efficient and effective assignment and utilization of human resources to maintain safe staffing levels.
- Coordinate inter-agency patient flow and access to beds as needed in collaboration with staff.
- Ensure work is performed within hospital policy, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Oversee and evaluate nursing care and provide opportunities for improved patient outcomes.
- Deploy resources in response to emergency codes and monitor eIMS reports for all shifts.
- Assist other managers of clinical programs as required.
- Recruit qualified personnel, conduct disciplinary actions, and provide coaching, mentoring, and support to employees.
- Contribute to operating and capital budget development of programs as requested.
- Baccalaureate degree in Allied Health or Nursing or acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Current registration and membership in good standing with applicable regulatory college preferred.
- CPMHN(c) is an asset.
- Recent leadership experience is preferred.
- Minimum 3+ year's clinical experience in acute care is required.
- Membership in a professional nursing or other related organization is preferred.
- Completion of CPI or equivalent and CPR certification within the last 12 months.
- Understanding of MHA and relevant legislation.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must complete RAI-MH training upon hire.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and superior interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships.
- Budget experience an asset.
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading comprehension, and written expression. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
$56.56 to $61.81 per hour
