We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Auto Claims Representative to join our team at Definity. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing complex claims, and ensuring timely and fair resolutions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prompt and courteous claims service to customers, internal and external
- Manage complex and/or commercial auto claims, interpreting policy wordings and determining appropriate coverage
- Collaborate with fraud investigators, customers, brokers, and preferred vendors to resolve claims efficiently
- Maintain detailed file records, processing claims payments within authority levels and initiating salvage and subrogation procedures
- Achieve targeted claims numbers, maintaining a 100% file disposition rate
- University degree in any discipline or college diploma, with a minimum of 3 years experience handling automobile physical damage claims
- Advanced knowledge of claims processes and procedures, including experience in tort and DCPD provinces
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, with a high proficiency in Windows-based programs
- Team-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and achieve goals together
