Position Summary

Avalon Holographics is seeking a dedicated analyst to enhance our intellectual property division. This role involves close collaboration with the IP Manager to support the comprehensive management of our intellectual property assets.

The intellectual property division oversees all facets of Avalon's IP, from initial research and development stages to the filing and upkeep of patents. The team actively engages with various departments to identify and cultivate potential intellectual property, particularly patents, and facilitates invention disclosure sessions to draft, submit, and oversee patents that form Avalon's IP portfolio.

Additionally, the team is tasked with evaluating copyright agreements related to visual content and software, making familiarity with copyright legislation and fair use beneficial.

Daily Responsibilities...
  • Investigate, assess, and maintain patent and trademark validity and usage rights.
  • Conduct patent investigations, literature reviews, and market research.
  • Draft domestic and international patent applications, including formulating responses to office actions.
  • Foster and generate patents and innovative works through invention collection.
  • Devise strategies for defending against potential intellectual property disputes.
  • Monitor industry trends, analyzing competitor patenting and publications.
  • Input data, track performance metrics, and update conflict resolution statuses.
  • Engage in ongoing education initiatives to promote awareness of IP-related issues and act as a technical resource for internal teams.

To thrive as a member of the intellectual property division, candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree along with relevant experience. While an engineering background is preferred, it is not mandatory. Additional qualities include:
