Avalon Holographics Incorporated is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Intellectual Property Manager to join our team.

Role Overview

The Intellectual Property Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of Avalon Holographics Incorporated's intellectual property, including patent and trademark filings, maintenance, and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Search, analyze, and update patent and trademark validity and rights to use.
  • Examine existing patents and protections, expanding and updating IP policies, monitor patent infringement.
  • Maintain the internal IP strategy and policy.
  • Prepare, file, and prosecute domestic and foreign patent application(s), including preparing arguments in response to office actions.
  • Encourage and generate patents and creative works through invention harvesting.
  • Prepare plans for the defense of potential intellectual property challenges.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, reviewing competitor patenting and publishing.
  • Enter data, track metrics, and update conflict and resolution status.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience. An engineering background is preferred but not required. Other attributes include:

  • Ability to research in technical areas.
  • Strong writing background.
  • Excellent communicator and listener.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
