Job Summary

The Executive Sous Chef will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. This is a key leadership role that requires strong communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers
  • Food Preparation and Presentation
    • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events and regular customers
    • Ensure high-quality presentation and plating of dishes
  • Staff Management and Training
    • Train and supervise kitchen staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
    • Develop and implement staff training programs
  • Cuisine Specialties and Work Conditions
    • Prepare and cook Mexican cuisine with attention to detail and quality
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and under pressure
  • Personal Suitability and Government Programs
    • Work as part of a team and demonstrate strong organizational skills
    • Recognize and adhere to government programs and regulations
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Work Setting and Hours
    • Work in a restaurant environment with 40 hours per week
