Job Description

We are seeking an Industrial Designer to join our team at Acuity Brands Lighting, Inc. The ideal candidate will be creative, versatile, and possess solid technical knowledge and an innate sense of design. The successful candidate will have a sense of organization, be a team player, and be proactive and resourceful.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design architectural luminaires from concept to production
  • Execute manufacturing, assembly, and installation drawings
  • Create models and prepare photometric studies
  • Work with our ERP system and create nomenclatures (BOM)
  • Collaborate with suppliers and resolve production issues
  • Participate in marketing and graphic design projects (depending on the candidate's skills)
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or equivalent
  • Experience in lighting, architectural, or technological product design (an asset)
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Keyshot
  • French/English bilingualism (an asset)
