About the Role

The District of Saanich Youth Services section operates three youth centres within recreation facilities. Our dedicated team provides a range of programs and services to engage young people in our community. As a Youth Program Facilitator, you will lead and inspire youth participants through engaging activities that foster their talents, creativity, and interests.

Your Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver both registered and drop-in programs for youth.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment where all participants feel welcome and supported.
  • Collaborate effectively with youth, families, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants by maintaining program areas and implementing organized activities.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Grade 10.
  • Eight weeks of experience working with youth in a recreational or instructional setting.
  • Satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) check no older than six months.
  • Emergency First-Aid and CPR-C certification.

  • Yoga
  • Zumba or Dance Fitness
  • General Youth Social Programs

Shift Information

The successful candidate will work varying shifts, including weekends, after school hours, and evenings. Candidates should be available to work a minimum of three hours per week.
