About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clerk/Receptionist to join our Child Development Programs team at Markham Stouffville Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional administrative support to our Speech and Language Services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact families to schedule appointments and maintain accurate records
  • Manage electronic client records and update client databases to support caseload planning
  • Enter visit statistics and outcome measure data into a Ministry database
  • Order supplies and maintain filing systems
  • Perform general office and clerical duties, including typing and distributing correspondence
  • Prepare for weekly team meetings and record and distribute minutes
Requirements
  • Previous reception/clerical experience in a healthcare setting
  • Experience and knowledge of child development programs and/or experience in an outpatient medical clinic setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with entering data into the Healthy Child Development - Integrated Services for Children Information System (HCD-ISCIS) preferred
  • Strong computer skills in MS Word and Excel, with excellent typing skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and work independently
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance records, with the ability to maintain these standards
Work Schedule

The successful candidate must be available to work day shifts, with flexibility to cover additional shifts as required.
