Position Overview: As a Behavioral Intervention Instructor, you will engage in intensive behavioral intervention, providing essential services to children and youth diagnosed with autism. Your role will involve working in various settings, including home, clinic, center, and classroom environments, both individually and in small groups. Flexibility in scheduling is required, as you may work evenings, weekends, or shorter shifts, contributing up to 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
Client Engagement:
Deliver tailored services grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to address the unique needs of each child and youth. Participate in evidence-based programming, which includes administering skill acquisition initiatives, teaching appropriate behaviors, and mitigating challenging behaviors. Maintain regular communication with parents to provide updates on progress and facilitate parent coaching sessions. Develop educational materials to support programming and systematically collect and analyze data.
Data Management:
Conduct behavioral or curriculum assessments and track progress by maintaining detailed daily records of each child's behavior and skill development.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Oversee the clinical documentation for each client, which includes preparing data sheets, daily graphing, and adjusting programming as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Autism and Behavior Science, Behavioral Psychology, or a related discipline

• A college diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth Work, or Developmental Services may be considered

• Experience in delivering ABA-based programming is an asset

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is a plus

• Strong organizational, interpersonal, time-management, and communication skills

• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

• Awareness of cultural diversity and proficiency in additional languages is advantageous

• First Aid/CPR certification is beneficial
