Position OverviewIn the role of Testing Lead for Payroll Implementation, you will be tasked with supervising and directing the testing activities associated with the rollout of a new payroll system. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with the project team to formulate and implement testing strategies, plans, and protocols to guarantee the precision and operational efficiency of the payroll system.
Primary Responsibilities
• Formulate and uphold testing strategies, plans, and protocols for the payroll system rollout.
• Work in conjunction with the project team to determine testing requirements and scope based on business and system specifications.
• Liaise with stakeholders to secure necessary test data and resources for testing objectives.
• Lead a team of testers, offering guidance and support throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Develop and execute test cases to validate the accuracy and functionality of the payroll system.
• Document and report any defects identified during testing, collaborating with the development team for prompt resolution.
• Monitor and oversee the progress of testing activities, ensuring timelines are adhered to and issues are addressed promptly.
• Conduct post-implementation testing to confirm the successful deployment of the payroll system.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and end-users during system testing and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the payroll system with other related systems and processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience as a testing lead or in a comparable role, preferably within the payroll sector.
• Strong grasp of payroll processes and systems.
• Familiarity with various testing methodologies and tools.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficient in managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Knowledge of payroll processing and compliance standards is advantageous.
