Regulatory Compliance Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at Dentalcorp. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in ensuring our organization's compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective compliance programs to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on compliance matters.
  • Identify and report potential compliance risks and issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and ensure our organization's compliance.

Requirements

  • Member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, with a university degree in law (LLB or JD) and an L1 License to practice law in Ontario.
  • 2+ years' experience as a Lawyer in a regulatory body, multi-location corporation, and the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and time management skills.
  • Early adopter of legal technology who is up to date with benefits of using AI.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, meet legally mandated timelines, and handle multiple demands simultaneously.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with excellent judgment.
  • A team-player who is comfortable and effective in an environment where there are varied stakeholders asking for assistance.
  • Bilingual French/English is an asset.
