We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at Dentalcorp Canada. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring our compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support cross-functional departments in navigating regulatory challenges and turning them into opportunities for growth and innovation.
  • Provide expert advice on regulatory matters and pertinent legal issues to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Review and analyze provincial standards, bylaws, and legislation to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in drafting releases and correspondence related to regulatory complaints and issues.
  • Identify and manage claims to prevent lawsuits and minimize liability.
  • Collaborate with our Marketing department to ensure compliance with advertising regulations.
  • Liaise with external regulatory and governmental bodies to stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Coordinate with our network of dental practices to ensure adherence to our compliance program and local standards.

Requirements

  • A member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario, with a university degree in law (LLB or JD) and an L1 License to practice law in Ontario.
  • 2+ years' experience as a Lawyer in a regulatory body, multi-location corporation, and the healthcare industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication, and time management skills.
  • Early adopter of legal technology with knowledge of AI benefits.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and handle multiple demands simultaneously.
  • Creative problem solver with excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with excellent judgment.
  • A team-player with excellent communication skills and ability to work with varied stakeholders.
  • Bilingual French/English is an asset.
