Job Summary

The Library Circulation Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of Tyndale Library's circulation services. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate user accounts, processing interlibrary loans, and providing exceptional customer service to patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the circulation of library materials, including verifying sign-outs and updating shelving.
  • Handle user requests and maintain accurate records.
  • Supervise student workers and provide guidance on circulation procedures.
  • Process interlibrary loans and document delivery requests.
  • Communicate with patrons and other libraries to resolve issues.
Requirements
  • College Library and Information Technician Diploma or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in an academic setting, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of theological/Biblical studies is an asset.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately with details and maintain an automated circulation system.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn specialized library software.
Personal Characteristics
  • A Christian with a strong commitment to serving others.
  • Dependable and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions
  • Considerable stooping/standing and moderate physical effort required.
  • Must be available to work outside regular business hours.
Salary Range

$38,000 to $47,000
